Impact Assessment Study

After 8 years of operations in a South Indian state, a not-for-profit organization in the WASH sector wanted to assess the impact of its safe water program, on Health Education and Socio-Economic parameters, especially among women and children.
A four-module research was conducted – quantitative survey among general population, focus groups among beneficiaries, ethnographic observations among beneficiaries, and in – depth Interviews among key stakeholder.
The research compared the baseline KPI numbers to the Endline Study, highlighting the level of acceptance and engagement of the program. The study also highlighted the positive impact of regular consumption of safe water had on health, and therefore on education and income generation.
The research outcomes showed that higher savings and increased income, along with more time for the housewife, led to a higher quality of life for the housewife

Campaign Testing & Post Launch Evaluation

A not for profit organisation in the WASH sector wanted to create a templated communication and launch protocols for setting up new stations. It involved a Digital Communications agency to create a campaign for the launch and household engagement process.
The Digital Agency had created multiple routes which could have been used to launch the new service. The need for research was to identify the route which had the highest long term potential for success
A three part research was conducted to:
i) Test the campaign program and other tools, and fine-tune it;
ii) Post launch of the campaign and station, conduct a Launch Evaluation study to assess, whether the campaign was working as intended and whether the initial household sign-up was as per expectation;
iii) Impact Assessment, one year after launch to measure the key consumer metrics, perceptions change, behaviour, and impact on health and livelihood.
The client was able to create a created a template for their model launch, which they rolled out to other station launches. The research also helped demonstrate program capability and impact on the beneficiaries, enabling better funding and expansion in the program scope.

Impact Assessment of SMS Campaign

A development sector client, aims to amplify the voices of women and remove barriers to free speech and expression. they under took a pilot for an SMS outreach project aimed at educating adolescent girls on topics of worker rights, menstrual hygiene,importance of schooling, and soon.The client wanted to assess the impact of their campaign.
Stratage conducted a two-phased research: first, a tracking survey, to understand the individual and thematic reach of messages and reactions; second, an end-line survey, to measure overall program reach and efficacy.
The research helped the client get a clear understanding of the reach, understanding and impact of their campaign. It gave the client clear directions on what was working and not working in the campaign.
Based on the insights gained from the research, the client planned course correct and scale up the campaign to reach more women.
